Our facilitators bring a wide range of professional and personal experience to Restorative Divorce. In addition to their education and formal training, the life lessons learned from their own marriages, divorces and parenting contribute to who they are and their capacity to relate to clients from a place of understanding and shared human journey. They all bring with them a passion for working with people to transform relationships through restorative practice.
Scott Brown is cofounder of Restorative Divorce. He is a graduate of the Colorado Peacemaker Institute’s certification program and has completed comprehensive training in the Hakomi Method of Psychotherapy. He is also pursuing a master’s degree in transpersonal psychology with concentration in ecopsychology from Naropa University.
Scott is an experienced and sought after restorative justice facilitator with both the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office and the Longmont Community Justice Partnership. He is also a program instructor for the Prison Dharma Network at the Boulder County Jail and Lookout Mountain Youth Services Center.
Scott experienced his divorce in 2006 as a wake up call to change his life, and has undergone a focused and intensive life transition since that time. His own experience informs his belief that Restorative Divorce can be a powerful stepping stone on the path of awakening to one’s fullest potential.
Prior to taking an active interest in personal growth, Scott was a professional environmental campaigner for 15 years, working for Greenpeace, the Idaho Conservation League, and the Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society. He also spent five years as an organic farmer before moving to Boulder in 2006. An avid yoga and outdoor enthusiast, he brings a grounded, peaceful presence to his work in Restorative Divorce.

He is a singer songwriter and enjoys camping in the wilderness with his children, coaching soccer, mountain climbing, mountain biking, skiing, and philosophizing. He is informed greatly by his meditation practice and the daily practice of being in relationship. He brings qualities of openness, acceptance, equanimity and humor to his work.
Meg is a veteran restorative justice facilitator experienced in holding a safe and respectful place for those in need of solutions through family group conferencing, peacemaking circles, decision-making workshops and community group conferences.
Married, divorced, mother of one and grandmother of one, and married again, Meg relishes her daily learning about what it takes to be awake. Meg looks forward to the precious opportunity to assist divorced and divorcing families through life-changing, life reaffirming revelations as a result of participation in the Restorative Divorce process.
Meg’s experience and sense of humor can help transform even the most difficult relationships. This quote from Chogyam Trungpa resonates restorative outcomes for her:
“When we feel that our lives are genuine and good, we do not have to deceive ourselves or other people. We can see our own shortcomings without feeling guilty or inadequate….”
